How FreelancerAutoBid works.
Four steps. Most users are bidding within 10 minutes of creating their account. The AI screens each project, writes a tailored proposal, and places the bid — you don't need to be at your desk.
Start Free TrialUp and running in minutes.
No coding. No complex setup. Install the extension, configure your filters, and FreelancerAutoBid handles the rest.
Create Your Account
Register and start a free trial (no credit card required). Your account unlocks the dashboard where you'll manage settings, view analytics, and track every bid FreelancerAutoBid places.
Install and Sign In
Install FreelancerAutoBid from the setup guide in your dashboard, then sign in with your FreelancerAutoBid account. It works in any Chromium-based browser: Chrome, Brave, Edge, Opera, Vivaldi, Arc, and more. The in-dashboard guide walks you through the exact steps, so there's nothing to figure out on your own.
Configure Your Preferences
This is where most of the work happens, and most users spend about 8 minutes here on first setup. Set bid delay, daily cap, and active-hours window. Configure project filters: listing types (featured, sealed, NDA, urgent, recruiter, premium, enterprise, and more), hourly and fixed-price budget ranges, target skills, excluded keywords, and disabled countries. Set client quality requirements (identity-verified, payment-verified, deposit-made, freelancer-verified) and minimum ratings overall and per-category. Then edit the AI prompts for proposals, clarification questions, project screening, and milestone structures so the output sounds like you wrote it.
Enable Auto-Bidding
Flip the switch. While you're signed in to Freelancer.com in your browser and within your active-hours window, FreelancerAutoBid screens every new listing, generates a proposal, and places the bid. You can step away. A lot of our users run it on a dedicated desktop or always-on machine so it continues overnight without keeping their main laptop awake.
What Makes FreelancerAutoBid Different
Frequently Asked Questions About Setup
How long does setup take?
Most users are bidding within 10 minutes. Create your account, install the extension, configure your preferences, and flip the switch. The in-dashboard setup guide walks you through each step. There's nothing to figure out from documentation.
Do I need to keep my browser open for auto-bidding to work?
Yes. FreelancerAutoBid bids through your own Freelancer.com browser session, which is how we keep your credentials off our servers. Keep the browser open during your active-hours window and bidding runs by itself. A lot of users run a dedicated browser profile on a desktop or always-on machine so they're not tethered to their main laptop.
Can I use FreelancerAutoBid with multiple Freelancer.com accounts?
Each FreelancerAutoBid account supports one Freelancer.com profile right now. If you manage multiple profiles, you can create a separate FreelancerAutoBid account for each one. They're independent, with their own settings and bid history.
How does the AI generate proposals?
The AI reads each project's description, requirements, and budget context, then drafts a proposal based on the system prompt you've configured. You control the tone and structure through that prompt. Change it once and every subsequent proposal shifts accordingly. No per-bid rewrites.
