Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 20, 2026

What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains how FreelancerAutoBid (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and pixels) on our website and, where applicable, authenticated areas of our product. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a site. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you signed in, understand how pages are used, and improve performance and security. Similar technologies include local storage keys and scripts that store or read information in the browser.

How we use cookies

Strictly necessary. These cookies are required for core functionality—for example session management and authentication (such as NextAuth session cookies when you log in to the dashboard), security (e.g. CSRF protection where used), load balancing, and remembering cookie consent choices where we implement a consent banner.

Functional. These help the Service work according to your choices—for example remembering theme preferences (light/dark mode) or language where we offer that feature.

Analytics and performance. We use or plan to use Google Analytics(and similar tools) on our marketing pages and possibly signed-in areas to understand aggregate traffic, referral sources, feature usage patterns, and campaign effectiveness. Google Analytics may use cookies and identifiers to distinguish visitors; data may be processed by Google in accordance with Google's terms and privacy policy.

Cookie and storage overview

Exact cookie names and lifetimes can change as we update the product. The table below describes typical categories we use or intend to use:

AnalyticsMeasure visits and usage; improve marketing and productGoogle Analytics (_ga, _gid, etc.); may include Google Signals / ads features if enabled in your GA property

Your choices

Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block necessary cookies, parts of the Service (such as signing in) may not work.

Google Analytics. You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or use browser settings to limit third-party cookies. Google also provides controls linked from Google's Privacy Policy.

Consent banners. Where required by law (for example EEA/UK), we will present a cookie consent mechanism for non-essential cookies such as analytics before they are set, and honor your choices.

Do Not Track

There is no consistent industry standard for “Do Not Track” signals. We currently do not respond to DNT headers; we may revisit this as standards evolve.

Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new technologies (for example when Google Analytics is fully deployed or when we change cookie names). Check the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
